Before we get going
Decide how you will use Cigar Mechanic. Will you use Cigar Mechanic in the bag for a travel humidor? Will you add Cigar Mechanic to a unit you already own and replace whatever material you have in there now?
To See How To Do Both Read Below
For using Cigar Mechanic in the Bag:
When getting a bag of Cigar Mechanic Humidification Refill all you have to do to activate the product is add Distilled Water, drain off the excess water and you are ready to go.
The bag itself is perforated and Cigar Mechanic will work in the bag. We recommend using Cigar Mechanic as a replacement for what you have now, and to do that read below.
Follow these 5 Easy Steps to Replace your Unit with Cigar Mechanic:
For Our Purposes Here Please Note –
- When we say “unit” we mean to say humidification device that one may use in a personal humidor at home.
- The standard unit you receive when you purchase a humidor is a Large (Usually Black) Rectangle. Inside is foam or “green foam,” this is “plant foam” you get when you buy your other flowers for staying out too late.
These materials only store moisture and then release it. It doesn’t regulate humidity at all. This is when mold forms with the right temperature. This is where we come in. Cigar Mechanic will regulate humidity and not grow mold.
- Cigar Mechanic works in ANY unit. Simply open your current unit and pour in the Cigar Mechanic.
Step 1: Take apart your unit.
Step 2: Remove material in your humidification unit and clean out with a rag.
Step 3: Pour in one bag of Cigar Mechanic. (For Large (Usually Black) Humidification Device, Standard Issue, you may need to use more or less in you personal humidor)
Step 4: Add Distilled Water, until product turns from white to clear.
Step 5: Drain off the excess water and put device back into your humidor.
